Muscle MX Review

The primary goal of Muscle MX is to provide freedom through CBD oil: from pain and inflammation and from reliance on prescription medication and other unnatural solutions. Their CBD product line, which includes pre- & post activity balms, is geared toward the active individual, be it the consummate athlete, the weekend marathoner, or the elderly consumer enjoying low-impact exercise.

They market their CBD balms as “simple, natural and powerful with results you can trust.” Muscle MX has the simple and natural part down. However, this is a classic case of missing information where we need more to award additional badges to this performance-driven CBD company.

The founders of Muscle MX hail from Salt Lake City where they enjoy an active, mountain lifestyle. The group of friends recognized an organic connection between their natural way of life and the benefits of CBD oil, so they got in the game and centered their efforts on CBD for inflammation and pain. Like many consumers and manufacturers in the cannabidiol space, they take issue with over reliance on prescription medication, particularly for pain, and provide premium CBD products as a natural alternative.

Unfortunately, we know very little about the actual hemp oil that goes into Muscle MX products. They state they use industrial hemp CBD oil, but where and how it is grown and their method of extraction remains a mystery. We don’t know if their products contain CBD isolate or full spectrum CBD oil? We just don’t know.

However, Muscle MX follows through on their promise of using all-natural, quality ingredients. No scary stuff here. They offer two CBD balms that retail at $39.99 each. The Muscle MX Recovery CBD Balm is targeted for post-activity relief from muscle soreness and inflammation. Ingredients include natural favorites like menthol for cooling, beeswax, tea tree oil, and grapeseed oil. Muscle MX Activation CBD Balm, meant for pre-workout use, contains the same ingredients but with added camphor and caffeine oil intended to increase blood flow. The two balms are marketed to use in tandem for both short-term and long-term results.

Muscle MX claims their products are “carefully tested, crafted and handmade with love,” but they do not post any independent lab results, disqualifying them from the Safety Badge.

As far as innovation is concerned, we don’t see them doing anything different or game changing in the CBD oil space. Plus, crucial information about their practices just isn’t there.

Bottom Line – Muscle MX sells all-natural CBD performance products with ingredients we approve of. We simply need to see more from them. Most importantly, we need third-party test results to verify that their CBD oil is safe, and Muscle MX needs to improve their transparency when it comes to their hemp oil sourcing and processes by disclosing where their CBD comes from, how it is grown, and the extraction method used. Classic case of missing information.
