TheraJoy has had skin in the CBD topical game long before most brands adopted the segment to their product lines. And unlike most brands out there claiming 100% organic ingredients, they actually back up their statements with certified organic ingredients in each and every formulation! TheraJoy’s CBD product line is simple, but you can’t beat their quality of ingredients..

TheraJoy makes a claim common across the CBD industry when they say, “All TheraJoy products are 100% organic, vegan, gluten free and kosher.” But this time — it’s actually true! 

Every single ingredient in the TheraJoy lineup is organic. We know this commitment to quality is a costly one, and we applaud the brand for this kind of dedication to clean sourcing.

TheraJoy has been in the game since 2015, a time when advertising CBD as a main ingredient was not exactly recommended and certainly not popular. But the company believed in  cannabidiol as a powerful ingredient in skincare, and their devotion has paid off. They’ve been featured in major publications like the New York Observer, and their CBD topicals are designed to be easy, cost effective, and convenient.

Therajoy’s honestly organic products

The TheraJoy line is very basic with just three products, but all ingredients are organic through and through, a rarity in the CBD marketplace. Their CBD salve (also a massage oil) containing only CBD and organic coconut oil is available in 1oz, 2 oz, and 4oz jars for $20, $50, and $90, respectively. 

The TheraJoy Real Revolution Face Serum is a real treat, with powerful ingredients like organic blueberry seed oil and red raspberry seed oil for a deluge of antioxidants and great vitamins for skin like A, C, and E. This CBD serum is a bit pricey, FYI.

Finally, their naturally scented CBD Island Body Butter also has some uncommon, high-end, and highly beneficial superfood ingredients. TheraJoy incorporates sea buckthorn oil, buriti fruit oil, and black currant seed oil in 1oz and 2oz jars at $20 and $50 each.

Ingredients

Sea buckthorn oil, organic blueberry seed oil, etc. are not cheap and certainly not prevalent in the CBD topicals space. Because these are innovative choices (and smart ones at that), we’re awarding TheraJoy the Innovation Badge. The brand was also at the forefront of CBD topical development in the early 2000s, as we touched on earlier.

When it comes to the hemp itself, TheraJoy strictly uses CBD isolate that is apparently sourced from organically grown plants in Switzerland and Colorado. But the company makes no mention of their extraction method. Until we can verify their extraction method, the Quality Badge is technically on hold for now.

Testing?

And while TheraJoy has been a trusted name in the hemp skincare business for many years, they do not technically qualify for the Safety Badge at present. In order to qualify, the brand needs to provide up-to-date cannabinoid profiles (potency tests) for each product and comprehensive contaminants tests for their CBD isolate.

Bottom Line

We love that TheraJoy uses only certified organic ingredients in their CBD topical line that’s brimming with naturally innovative goodness. A few tweaks like disclosing their extraction method and getting involved in charity will boost their score.
